Enchantress from the Stars

Enchantress from the Stars is by Sylvia Engdahl and is 286 pages. This story is about trusting your heart and what you think is right, not what others think. It's a great story about these three humans from a very advanced civilization that help young civilizations survive and protect the civilization from other civilizations that are more advanced than them. What happens is that an advanced civilization tries to take over a different civilization on another planet, and these three are sent to save the younger civilization. What is really cool is that the good advanced civilization has telekinesis powers and teach it to two locals to defeat a huge metal "Dragon". But some problems also come along the way...

This story is about trusting your heart and doing what you think is right. For instance, Elana, the main character, is always doing what her father tells her to do, but she never feels right about it. Eventually she does things that she feels are right and many great things happen because of her actions. A different example is from a young man that works for the civilization that is trying to take over that planet. He thinks that what they are doing is wrong, and works with Elana to help the young civilization. One last example is when Geogyn, a native, thinks it was wrong to treat the other natives meanly, so he gives them food and tries to stop the people who were being mean to them. The Enchantress from the Stars is a great book and I highly recommend it.
